- Students will be able to collect statistical data using a sample through Interview(questionnaire), observationn and measurement
- Students will be able to organize the data using table and graph
- Students will be able to anayzing the data using measures of central tendency
The word STATISTICs is used to describe the systematic method of collecting, organizing, interpreting and anayzing data.
Different people collect data for various purposes. Example, a man who wants to sell ice-cream might be interested in collecting data to determine the most popular flavour of ice-cream. In summary, people normally collect raw data and process it into information for reference or to make better decisions.

Data can be obtained through various ways : surveys, taking measurement, and observation.
A common method of sorting data involves using a frequency distribution table.
Another way of showing the data in an easily read form is by drawing a graph.
After data has been sorted, certain key numbers can be determined
It is defined as the difference between the highest and lowest scores. The range gives a rough idea of how the scores are spread.
The mode is simply the outcome that occurs the most often, it has the highest frequency.
After a set of scores has been arranged in order, the median is the 'middle score'. This is only strictly true if there is an odd number of scores. For even number of scores, the median is the average of the middle two scores.
The tem 'average' usually refers to the mean. To calculate the mean, the sum of the scores is divided by the number of scores.
